Dr. Michael Barak is a Lecturer at the Lauder School of Government Diplomacy and Strategy at the Reichman University (Hertzliyya) and a senior researcher at the International Institute for Counterterrorism (ICT), where he serves as the head of the global jihad and Palestinian terror research desks. His primary research areas encompass Modern Egypt, Islamic Fundamentalism (including Al-Qaeda, ISIS, Taliban, among others), Political Islam (specifically The Muslim Brotherhood), as well as Salafi and Sufi movements.
