Professor Nimrod Hurvitz teaches at Ben Gurion University of the Negev. He has published about medieval Islamic movements, primarily the Hanbali school of law, The Formation of Hanbalism, Piety into Power (Routledge, 2002) and co-authored a book about contemporary Islamic movements with Eli Alshech Making Sense of Muslim Fundamentalisms, The Clash Within Islam (Routledge, 2020). He is a co-founder of The Forum for Regional Thinking.
